Brooklyn Boardwalk – Mangrove Walk

Notice from Hornsby Shire Council



Brooklyn Boardwalk – Mangrove Walk Council is pleased to advise that as part of the 2020/2021 Capital Works Program, Councils selected contractor will be undertaking repairs and upgrades to your facility. Works are anticipated to commence in late June 2021 with an 8-week program, weather pending.


Works will include:

  • Removal of timber deck, upgrading to a grip mesh surface

  • Installing structural reinforcements

  • Installing balustrade with hardwood top rail

  • Replacement of seating on viewing platform

  • Temporary construction fencing compounds and site container will be set up on Brooklyn Park field outskirts for the duration of works for temporary safe storage of materials.

During these works the boardwalk will be closed to the public. Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks you for your patience. The works will be undertaken between 7:00am to 5:00pm on week days.
